Warm temps delay Rotary Lights ice skating rink
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Many people are waiting anxiously for the Rotary Lights’ newest addition, but they’ll have to wait a little while longer.
As News 8 reported last month, Rotary Lights is adding an all-new ice skating rink to the Riverside Park display.
The lights have been open for just about a week, but organizers are still waiting for a little help to get the skating rink up and running.
“We’re excited, we’re ready to flood, we just need those overnight temperatures to drop significantly to the nice weather we’ve been enjoying,” said Pat Stephens, Rotary Lights president.
As of now, Rotary Lights organizers plan on flooding the ice skating rink next Thursday and Friday to have it ready by Saturday December 10th.
