Warmer Today With Lots Of Sunshine
Windy Thursday
Wednesday’s Forecast High: 83F / Tonight’s Low: 63F…
As advertised, we had cloudy periods on Tuesday… along with some spotty very light rain showers or sprinkles. Just a trace of rain fell at the La Crosse airport. The high of 74F in La Crosse was 5-degrees below average for the date.
Lots of sunshine back in the forecast for today. This will make for warmer temps as well, with highs in the upper 70s to low-mid 80s. Winds will be from the SW to W around 5-15 mph.
Clear to partly cloudy tonight, with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s. Becoming breezy as a cold front sweeps in from the northwest, with south winds 10-20 mph and gusts around 25 mph possible. The front could squeeze out an isolated shower or sprinkles in about the northern third of the viewing area toward sunrise and early Thursday morning. Otherwise expect slightly cooler highs Thursday back in the 70s, with gusty NW winds 15-25 mph and gusts to around 35 mph possible.
Looking Ahead… Sunny to partly cloudy Friday with seasonable highs in the mid-upper 70s. Saturday will be dry as well with slightly warmer highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. A disturbance will bring a chance of showers and t-storms Saturday night and into Sunday. Highs Sunday will mainly be in the upper 70s, with increasing winds as well.
Breezy and turning cooler for Labor Day Monday, with highs dropping into the upper 60s. There’s just a small chance for a few isolated showers in spots. A little bit better chance of rain showers Tuesday, with even cooler highs in the mid 60s. It looks like it’s going to remain cool Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the mid-upper 60s. Small chance of showers Wednesday, then partly sunny on Thursday.
Enjoy the sunshine today and have a wonderful Wednesday! -Bill Graul
