Warrens man suffers serious injuries in rollover crash


TOMAH, Wis. — A rural Warrens man suffered life-threatening injuries in a rollover crash.

The crash happened near the town of Byron, about 10 miles northeast of Tomah.

A preliminary investigation shows that 55-year-old Thomas Slater was traveling north on Copper Road near highway 173 when he went off the road and hit a tree.

The vehicle rolled over once and ended upright in a ditch.

Slater was transported to Gundersen Lutheran with life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
