Weather services issues heat warning for Iowa

DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — Hot and hotter weather are in the forecast for much of Iowa.

The National Weather Service expects temperatures into the 90s in most of Iowa on Wednesday.

Then it will get hotter on Thursday, especially in the eastern quarter of the state.

The forecast high on Thursday in Davenport, for example, is 100. High humidity will push the heat index value as high as 108.
