‘We’re All In’ initiative gets Wisconsinites actively participating in COVID-19 recovery effort
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Wisconsinites across the state are saying ‘We’re All In‘ for working together to stop the spread of COVID-19.
The ‘We’re All In’ initiative was launched by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to promote the best practices to keep Wisconsin residents healthy and safe.
It aims to reach people throughout the state through social media, advertising, and other outreach opportunities so they can actively participate in the recovery effort.
It encourages people to capture and share images of themselves social distancing with friends or family, wearing masks, and doing other things that reflect how they are helping keep their communities safe, using the hashtag #weareallin.
Businesses can also take part by sharing photos of their safe practices designed to help customers, clients, and employees stay healthy.
One initiative leader says stopping the spread isn’t possible unless every person commits to doing their part.
“There’s a ripple effect to not getting a handle on this virus, and we really need to understand that. That’s why it comes down to individual decisions, business decisions, and community decisions. We have to expand that ripple and make sure we’re taking care of each other,” said Missy Hughes, WEDC Secretary & CEO.
Getting Wisconsinites actively involved in only one part of this effort.
The first phase was aimed at providing $75 million in grants to 30,000 small businesses around the state.
