West Salem advances in playoffs thanks to wild trick play
WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT)–When down three with two minutes to go, West Salem opened up the playbook for a game-winning double pass from Noah LaFleur to Andy Johnson to beat Prescott 17-14.
“I think as soon as it came off my fingers I just knew it would be a connection to Johnson in the end zone,” LaFleur said after the game.
Noah had earned a 3 point lead for his team in the third quarter, before Prescott marched down the field and scored off a Aiden Russell run, giving minutes left for West Salem.
“Just playing football around these guys it’s not exactly nerve wracking but you still get that excitement inside you and I knew these guys had my back,” added Lafleur.
