Western Tech students providing computer help desk for community
Every Tuesday and Friday until April 8th
LA CROSSE (WKBT) – Western Technical College students are putting what they’ve learned in the classroom to work helping the community March 7th-April 8th.
Students in the Computer Support Specialist program will offer their expertise in person, online, and over the phone. They can help with software training, hardware support, and general troubleshooting.
“This program is not only helping the students learn it is also helping the public,” said Cindy Prindle, the instructor for the classes. “It teaches our students how to become leaders in our community.”
The support desk will run on Tuesdays from 2:00-5:00 pm and Fridays from 9:00 am-noon.
While walk-ins are welcome, organizers encourage appointments.
To make an appointment, call 608-785-9900, or email studenthelp@westerntc.edu.
