Western’s faculty and administration are developing alternative methods of instruction that fit within accreditation guidelines for appropriate programs, if necessary. This is being done while continuing to teach at this time. Several colleges and universities around the state are using spring break as an opportunity to transition their delivery methods. Western runs on a trimester schedule with a spring break of March 5-6 and is continuing to work on a plan.

Western provides training for many careers that are essential to our communities’ healthcare response. This includes nurses, respiratory therapists, and EMTs. These programs require training in a clinical setting, and we are developing formats that may allow this training to continue for as long as possible.

The university will continue to provide updates as necessary on its website here.
