WIAA girls basketball state tournament seeds set

LA CROSSE, WI — The WIAA girls basketball state tournament begins on Thursday at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

In Division 4, Aquinas is the 1 seed. The Blugolds (26-0) will play #4 Crandon (22-2) on Thursday at 6:35 pm. In the second D4 semifinal, #2 Melrose-Mindoro (26-0) plays #3 Manitowoc Lutheran (21-4) at 8:15 pm. The Division 4 title game is Saturday at 12:45 pm.

In Division 5, Bangor is the 2 seed. The Cardinals (24-3) will play #3 Clayton (24-3) on Friday at 10:45 am. The other semifinal is #1 Black Hawk (26-0) versus #4 Newman Catholic (21-6) at 9:05 am. The Division 5 title game is Saturday at 11:05 am.
