Window to show interest in La Crosse schools is now
Parents have until December 22 to send in an interest form for their child
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The deadline is almost here to show your interest in one of the La Crosse School District’s choice or charter schools.
Parents have until December 22 to send in an interest form for their child to attend one of the nine schools within the district.
The interest forms are a chance for the district to see what kind of demand there is for the schools which will help with staffing for next year.
The schools take a different approach to teaching in the classroom which in turn caters to the different ways each student learns.
“Some students excel in our traditional classrooms, some students in project based learning, so it’s all trying to match the needs a family may think for their child and matching those needs and the interest of those children with our choice and charters,” said La Crosse School District CTE Coordinator Annette O’Hern.
Any parent in the La Crosse School District can apply.
If your child is already going to a choice or charter school you do not need to reapply. If you miss the deadline there is an open enrollment period which runs from February 2nd through the end of April.
