Winona County asks residents for homemade masks
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) – Governor Walz launched a homemade mask drive to support those working and living in congregate care facilities.
Winona County Emergency Management is asking area crafters and sewers to make masks for Winona County facilities.
Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., homemade masks can be dropped off at area fire stations to be delivered to local care centers for employees and residents to wear.
The homemade masks do not replace the medical-grade personal protective equipment, they do help keep the wearer’s germs from getting on to other people.
