A shortage in EMS staff can make a difference between life and death. Winona County hopes to close that gap.

WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — Winona County Emergency Management is looking for volunteers to ease its severe shortage of help.

Without proper numbers, emergency workers are forced to wait for help from outside services, officials said. Waiting for another service to arrive can make the difference between life and death.

For more formation, potential volunteers can check the emergency management website, where there is a sign-up option.
