Winona Health Lake Winona Manor to light up the sky Tuesday

WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — Winona Health Lake Winona Manor is treating residents to fireworks on Tuesday, October 13. Because of COVID-19 precautions, family and friends will not be able to join residents and staff on site as they have in the past, but everyone is welcome to enjoy the show.

The fireworks over Lake Winona will be visible from a variety of spots around the community.

“Who couldn’t use a little light and sparkle these days?” said Linda Atkinson, administrator, senior services at Winona Health. “We are grateful to those who contribute to the Winona Health Foundation to support the Lake Winona Manor fireworks. Their generosity brings joy to our residents and extends to our community.”

Winona Health’s therapeutic recreation specialists plan this special event each fall, and this year, Winona Health’s facility team is joining in to host the event. “Everyone at Winona Health is part of our Lake Winona Manor family,” noted Atkinson. “And they are always happy to extend themselves to enhance the lives of our residents.”

The fireworks display will begin Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. and will last approximately 20 minutes.

In the event of bad weather, the fireworks will be held Thursday evening.
