Winona Highway 43 bridge lane closure begins, DOT performing inspections

WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) – There is another big lane closure, this one is on the Highway 43 bridge over the Mississippi River that leads to Winona. The bridge will see lane closures and sidewalk closures as the Minnesota Department of Transportation performs inspections.

The inspection evaluates the safety and monitors the effects of traffic, weather, and other elements on the structure. The lane closure starts tomorrow and will run through this week. The Minnesota DOT says to expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
