Tomah nears final pact for new emergency services building site

Tomah 2

TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) — The city of Tomah’s years-long search for a site for a new emergency services building is nearing the end with the selection of a potential location at 815. N. Superior Ave., according to a news release.
The city has submitted an offer for the property, and it has been accepted, according to a news release from City Administrator Bradley Hanson.
A few conditions are attached, including studies and testing for the appropriate support material and wetland considerations, including obtaining a state Department of Natural Resources permit for mitigation and approval to build on the site.
In another action in Tomah, the city hired Molly Powell to become city treasurer effective April 12, after winnowing the original field of 14 candidates.
