Winona Police looking to return stolen items

What once was lost, now is found and the Winona Police are working to return it to their rightful owners.

The Winona Police Department is hosting a public viewing of potentially stolen property.

The items can only be viewed by people that have filed police reports and they must have a valid Identification.

People from outside of Winona County can also attend, but must bring a copy of a police report.

“Some of the items, people don’t even realize that they had them stolen. They have have gone out into their shed and said ‘well where did my chainsaw go? and though that they borrowed it to a neighbor,” said Winona Police Deputy Chief Tom Williams.

The viewing will be held in the former J.C. Penney building off Pelzer Street in Winona.

People can stop by June 21st and June 23rd.
