Winona Senior High Gymnastics look for a strong 2020 campaign

After the holidays, Winona Senior High Gymnastics will begin the bulk of their season.

Last year, the team sent several gymnasts to state. Including junior Cloe Hughes and 9th grader Natalya Franz.

Franz Finished 47th with her high vault. and Hughes finished 23rd.

Both Winhawks look to improve on their performances this year, and their coach hopes that some of their teammates can join them.

“We have some girls with that with a big goal for themselves, it would be really great for us as a team to be competitive and maybe make that trip too, by just getting in the weight room and just getting stronger is our biggest goal and then the stronger they are quicker the skills progress and the better shape they are in this season. This is a really strong start for us this season as the girls are getting into routines you can see they’re able to make it through sets without being overly exhausted,” said Coach Brittney Steine.

The Winhawks will be back at it, on January 4th.
