Winona Sheriff deputy’s squad hit while responding to another crash
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — A Winona Sheriff Deputy was at the scene of a crash when his squad car was struck from behind.
The deputy was sitting in the driver seat of his patrol car waiting for a tow truck on Highway 14 in Stockton when a 45-year-old Lanesboro man ran into the back corner of the squad.
The deputy reported minor back and neck pain and was treated at an area hospital. The other driver didn’t sustain any injuries, the report said.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
