Winona State softball crushes Moorhead in first home series

No. 13 Winona State dominated MSU-Moorhead in the Warriors’ first home doubleheader since 2019.

The Warriors took game one 20-3 in five innings and 14-0 in game two, also a five-inning game.

Winona State had everything working, from strong pitching to hitting throughout the lineup.

Logan High grad Jordyn Kleman improved her pitching record to 10-0 this season with four shutout innings in game one, along with five strikeouts. She got plenty of run support early, as the Warriors jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first inning.

Winona State had eight extra base hits and three home runs in the game one blowout, including a grand slam from Emma Quimby.

In game two, Winona State’s Liz Pautz went the full five innings, allowing just two hits and striking out 10 Dragons.
