Winter Rec Fest designs unveiled

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — La Crosse’s annual Winter Rec Fest now has its final designs before events kick-off next week.

Four different designs were chosen from area kids with ages ranging from 6 and under to 17 years old. Each winner received a plaque, 100 dollars, and buttons with their designs to give away.

Their designs will appear on all of this year’s Winter Rec Fest merchandise.

“Our 6 and under winner, that design is going to go on our awards for Winter Rec Fest, and then our 7-10 year-old winner is going to go on our cards for our sheepheads tournament. And then our 11-14 year-old winner is actually on our buttons ,and then our 16-17 year-old winner is going to go on our t-shirts that we have made,” said  Sheena Gifford, a recreation specialist for the city of La Crosse.

7-10 years-old – Dominic Kreiling  

11-14 years-old – Sawyer Baumgardt

15-17 year-old – Marcus Jarrett (15)  

Winter Rec fest runs from January 13-30th.
