Wis. man indicted on witness-retaliation charge

A Milwaukee man has been indicted on a charge of retaliating against a federal witness.

The U.S. Attorney’s office says the charge against 35-year-old Kyle T. Collins carries a maximum penalty of life in prison without parole.

Prosecutors accuse Collins of assaulting and threatening to kill a female who had testified in the sex-trafficking trial of Tyrone McMillian. The female had been included in McMillian’s indictment as one of four minors whom he had pimped between 2006 and 2009.

The female told investigators Collins attacked her in June. She says he assaulted her outside a nightclub and then dragged her by her hair to a waiting car while saying he would “kill this snitch.” The woman was able to break free.

Collin’s defense attorney, Michael Chernin, declined to comment Wednesday.
