Wisconsin AG Kaul stops in La Crosse as series of sexual assault response training courses starts

La Crosse is one of four training sites around the state this year

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — A series of sexual assault response training courses is underway in La Crosse.

Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul was in the city Wednesday to help kick off the courses for prosecutors.

The aim of the training is is to help prosecutors deal with the complex situations the cases can bring.

“There is going to be a presentation from the DA here in La Crosse County, among others, about plea negotiations in sexual assault cases,” Kaul said. “So a lot of expertise being brought to this discussion.”

La Crosse is one of four training sites around the state this year.

Training lasts 2.5 days.
