Wisconsin Assembly members share priorities for state’s federal stimulus money
Representatives supported funds for broadband expansion
WESTBY, Wis. (WKBT) – Wisconsin’s Assembly Republicans laid out their ideas for spending the $3.2 billion of federal stimulus money.
Representatives Loren Oldenburg and Tony Kurtz were in Westby Tuesday to talk about their priorates.
Oldenburg says GOP members support funding tourism efforts as well as small businesses.
He also says the Governor should invest $500million into broadband internet expansion.
“What we’re looking for here possibly is by end of 2024 that close to 90 to 95 percent of the people can have access to high speed internet, which is vital for the economy, especially in western Wisconsin,” said Wisconsin State Representative Loren Oldenburg.
The representatives also discussed Support for long-term care facilities.
