Wisconsin GOP statement on Ohio election results

MADISON, WIs. — Republican Party of Wisconsin Executive Director Stephan Thompson released the following statement in response to yesterday’s vote in Ohio regarding collective bargaining:

“Any comparison between a ballot initiative in Ohio and a potential recall election in Wisconsin is ridiculous. While Ohio’s legislation was never implemented, Wisconsin school districts and municipalities have seen millions of dollars in savings through Governor Walker’s reforms. The Democrats are clearly desperate to manufacture momentum for their recall attempt, but Wisconsin voters have proved over and over again that they trust the Republicans to put our economy back on track.”
