Wisconsin History Tour stops in La Crosse to honor veterans
Event included interactive displays, speakers, and documentaries
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Wisconsin’s Vets are getting a special salute on Veterans Day in La Crosse.
Servicemen and women are being honored at the Weber Performing Arts Center.
It’s part of the Wisconsin Historical Society’s Wisconsin History Tour. There are interactive displays, speakers, and documentaries running throughout the day.
The day-long event honors veterans by looking back at their time serving our country.
“The veterans experience is a profound experience if you’re a veteran you’ll know what I’m talking about, but it changes your life and changes the life of those around you. It’s one of those moments, one of those passages of life that says with you forever,” said Wisconsin Veterans Museum Director Michael Telzrow.
The event continued Tuesday night with presentation and authentic civil war music.
