Wolves draft Auburn’s Kessler, Duke’s Moore
The Minnesota Timberwolves traded down from pick 19 in the 2022 NBA Draft Thursday night and ended up with first-round selections at 22 and 26.
At pick 22 they took 7-foot-1 big man Walker Kessler from Auburn. Kessler recorded 11 points and almost 5 blocks a game for the Tigers last season.
At 26 the Timberwolves grabbed Duke’s Wendell Moore, who won the Julius Erving Award, given to the best small forward in college basketball. He averaged over 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game in his junior season at Duke.
