Woman, 69, struck, killed crossing Minneapolis street
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A 69-year-old woman has died after she was struck by a car while crossing a south Minneapolis street.
The Hennepin County medical examiner’s office identifies the victim as Louise Laugen of Minneapolis.
Officials say Laugen died of injuries suffered when she was struck by a car just before 6:30 p.m. Friday at an intersection. She lived nearby.
The Star Tribune reports police say alcohol wasn’t a factor. Officials continued to investigate.
