Woman dies in Jackson County accident
BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. — A Hixton woman is dead in a weekend accident on Interstate 94 in Jackson County.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says 30-year-old Angela Verken was driving east on I-94 near Black River Falls Sunday morning when she drove onto the left shoulder of the road.
Verken overcorrected and drove into the median and flipped her vehicle.
Verken was taken by ambulance to Black River Memorial Hospital, and was later airlifted to Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse, where she died Sunday afternoon.
