Woman drunkenly falls asleep in vehicle parked in garage, police say

REEDSBURG, Wis. — A woman found sleeping in a vehicle inside a Reedsburg garage Wednesday morning was arrested for trespassing, according to a release.

Reedsburg police were called around 6 a.m. to a house in the 1300 block of Wellington Drive after the resident went to his garage and saw a woman sleeping in his vehicle, officials said.

Police found 26-year-old Dana M. Deverney, of Wisconsin Rapids, sleeping in the vehicle.

Officials said they believe alcohol played a factor in the incident.

Diverney was taken into custody on tentative charges of criminal trespass and resisting arrest. She was also arrested on violation of probation.
