Woman wants to bring ducks to polls in Wisconsin

A woman in a small Wisconsin town has a message for fellow members of the electorate: “If you don’t vote, you can’t squawk.”

That’s what she’s hoping to communicate by bringing ducks to her polling station, according to Winneconne town clerk Yvonne Zobel.

The voter asked town officials Tuesday if she could bring three caged ducks and a sign to town hall during the election in November, The Associated Press reported.

The state Elections Commission told Zobel that the woman would need to keep the ducks at least 100 feet away from polling booths, the AP reported.
