Women’s Fund of Greater La Crosse gifts money to support local organizations
The Women's Fund has granted $765,000 to local organizations.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Nearly $75,000 will help La Crosse area nonprofits improving the lives of women and girls.
Women’s Fund of Greater La Crosse gifted the money to 22 organizations.
The money will support several different projects, including preventing homelessness and increasing access to education.
For the organizations receiving the funds, it was big.
“These programs are largely just donor and grant funded so the impact of the these grants is huge because it provides that funding source to keep our staff in the schools and working with the children,” said YWCA of La Crosse grants administrator Jen Roberdeau.
Since 1998, the Women’s Fund has granted $765,000 to local organizations.
