Women’s Voter League Hosts event for National Registration Day

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — One in four eligible voters don’t know how to register.

The League of Women Voters is trying to help educate voters.

To celebrate National Voter Registration Day, the group held an event at La Crosse Main Library to help voters register to vote, check their current information, and update it if necessary.

League volunteers say they want to remind people that voting is a great way for your voice to be heard.

“Our mission is empowering voters, defending democracy, so that’s why we’re here trying to help get people registered,” said Barb Roberts, a member of the League of Women Voters.

If you are not registered, you can do so in-person through election day or online through October 19.
