YMCA hosts ‘Spook Hollow Gymnastics Invitational’

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — In Onalaska, area gymnasts were also getting into the Halloween spirit.

On Saturday, the R. W. Houser Family YMCA in Onalaska hosted the annual Spook Hollow Gymnastics Invitational .

The meet brings together gymnasts of different skill levels from around the area.

This was the first time that a meet was held in the YMCA’s new gymnastics studio.

YMCA officials say have the new facility improves the experience for the athletes.

“It’s nice to be in here. The accommodations are better, the equipment is better and I think the kids are excited to show off the new facility,” said Patrick Long, head coach of the gymnastics team at the R.W. Houser Family YMCA.

Gymnasts participated in all parts of competition including vault, bars and floor.
