YMCA kicks off holidays with Jingle Bell Run

ONALASKA (WKBT) — The Onalaska YMCA kicked up the snow for its annual Jingle Bell Run.

Runners of all ages were invited to come and run either a 5K or kids run for charity.

Participants also enjoyed some healthy holiday foods and even got a chance to meet Santa.

Proceeds from Saturday’s race will support YMCA programs, including the youth cancer survivorship program.

“Proceeds to that allow[s] kids with cancer diagnoses to access to the y and do programming while they are going through that diagnosis and get healthy and go back to the Y and utilize programming as well.” said Donor Experience Director KJ Newkirk.

Proceeds also went to the Youth Food Program and the Flexible Pricing Program.

Those programs help make food and access to the Y available to kids in the community.
