Youth Races help kick off Riverfest
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Riverfest celebrations are helping people enjoy Independence Day in our area.
Wednesday morning kids competed in the annual Riverfest Kids Races.
The races had kids running the course dressed as super heroes.
Organizers say the event is a healthy way to start the day.
“The [La Crosse Area] Autism Foundation and children’s museum got together and decided what can we do that gets everyone up really early on the fourth of july and then tortures them for a little while and it’s just a great healthy way to start the fourth of July, we had so many families here today,” said Anne Snow, Executive Director of the Children’s Museum.
Adult also got their chance to race in the morning at the Firecracker Four Mile.
